A little while ago, the lovely Joanna asked me to photograph the living room of Julia Leach for Martha Stewart Living. Julia is a remarkable woman who after leaving her Creative Director position at kate spade, created the timeless and chic clothing line Chance. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot. I’d recommend reading the full post for some insights into Julia’s life as well as more images!

I’ve been horrible about blogging. It’s been ONE year since I’ve posted anything! I’ve decided to start posting a little more regularly even if it’s just a photo from my wanderings around New York. This is one of my favorites that I shot about a week ago.

I know, I know. I didn’t write. I didn’t call. Basically, I’ve been terrible at blogging lately. I do have a pretty good reason. A couple months ago, I was made the Photo Producer at Lonny Magazine! It has been such a wonderful and exciting experience and I’m very proud to be a part of the team. The new issue was released Sunday . Take a look!

Here are some lovely shots from the Jarlath Mellett feature. I LOVE the wallpaper. It really is a fantastic way of incorporating nature and texture to the decor. I also really love that this home has beach elements but it doesn’t scream out “beach-themed.” The use of untreated wood, the color scheme, and the fabulous wallpaper are a perfect combination.

I love “Someone Like You” from Adele’s new album. It is so hauntingly beautiful. This music video was filmed in her home and I just adore how dreamy the footage is. I could watch it over and over again.

I really want this bag and I definitely need this dress… I tried it on over the weekend when I was wandering around SoHo and let’s just say it’s fabulous. I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. Sigh.

I thought it would be fun to start a new feature called {The City} that shows a little of what I am doing, eating, and seeing in New York. Enjoy!

I recently went to see Nightclubbing: New York Nightlife in the 80s by German photographer, Wolfgang Wesener, a.k.a wowe. Nightclubbing is a series of black and white photographs that were taken of celebrities, artists, musicians, etc, in New York City clubs. Subjects include but are not limited to: Madonna, Andy Warhol, Miles Davis, Brooke Shields, John and Joan Cusack, and Matt Dillon. Each captivating portrait is a flashback to the 80s with their fantastic clothes and hairstyles. I really loved seeing this exhibit. I don’t really remember much about the 80s as I was quite young so it was pretty fascinating to see such an intriguing vignette of New York’s social scene. I hope anyone who can see the show will take the opportunity to do so. My personal favorite is of David Bowie…

The show runs until April 16th and is located at the Leica Gallery. I’d recommend it!
